British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the UK’s number one heart charity leading the fight against cardiovascular disease through research, information and support.

Tesco wants to make it a little bit easier for customers and colleagues to live more healthily. One way we can do this is by creating partnerships with health experts like Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation that support prevention and cure for the biggest health challenges we face.

The Conditions

Type 2 diabetes doubles your risk of heart and circulatory disease. There are 4.2 million people in the UK who have Type 2 diabetes and 7 million living with heart and circulatory disease. These can be serious life-threatening conditions. They are also largely preventable.

Type 2 diabetes is a condition where the amount of glucose in your blood gets too high. Having Type 2 diabetes increases your risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
